Ruth attended one of our Junior School open mornings and, more recently in September 2015, our Sixth Form open evening, as a Mystery Shopper. In both cases her extensive and thorough reports highlighted areas for improvement and drew our attention to details which we had not picked up on. We have already followed up a number of her recommendations from the earlier Junior School report and, as a result, customer satisfaction at our open mornings has significantly improved, as measured by questionnaires completed by visitors on the day. Her recommendations from the Sixth Form open evening have resulted in a complete re-think for our next recruitment season, starting in September 2016, with a number of new initiatives planned for Sixth Form recruitment.
In February 2015 Ruth Thorogate conducted a Focus group session with some of our Reception parents whose children had also attended our Nursery. This was a new venture for us and we were a little nervous about the outcome. Ruth’s professional, confident manner put our parents at ease and the resulting report was an eye-opener for us. We followed it up with a questionnaire and have now effected a number of changes which have transformed our Nursery.
I am very happy with the advice and support that Ruth Thorogate has given us. She has helped us enormously here at St Benedict’s School and I have no hesitation in recommending her.”
Marek Nalewajko, Director of Marketing, St Benedict’s School, Ealing
“Truth Marketing has carried out a number of independent parent surveys on our behalf. By working closely with the school to pinpoint the areas where feedback from parents and prospective parents was required, Ruth carried out some extremely useful independent research on our behalf. Ruth’s comprehensive analysis of the feedback enabled us to make some informed decisions when planning future developments and marketing strategies.
We have worked with Truth Marketing for a number of years and I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending their services.”
Jane Benney, Registrar, St Gabriel’s, Newbury
“We have been working with Ruth for four years, and during this time have commissioned a variety of research projects including a non-joiner survey, a joiner survey and a Year 11 leavers’ survey. Ruth’s experience in the education sector is a huge advantage, and her organisational and communication skills are second to none. Ruth is able to make suggestions as to how to improve response rates, and always compares data to previous years – essential when reporting to the Senior Leadership Team. Ruth makes the Market Research element of my role a whole lot easier!”
Clare Young, Head of Marketing & Development, St John’s College, Southsea
“Ruth is extremely knowledgeable about the education sector and understands what parents are looking for and want in a school. She also knows about the diversity of the independent schools sector and the benefits of differing environments for different children. Ruth is thoughtful and diplomatic and always acts professionally.”
